Statins are associated with development of diabetes in a high-risk population
KEY POINT
Statin use was associated with an increased incidence of type 2 diabetes (T2D) in patients who were at high risk of developing diabetes, according to a 10-year analysis of data from the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) trial published in BMJ Open Diabetes Research and Care.
