L-carnitine supplementation may improve survival in acute myocardial infarction


L-carnitine supplementation in the acute myocardial infarction (AMI) setting was associated with decreased all-cause mortality, ventricular arrhythmias, and angina, but not myocardial reinfarction or heart failure as compared to placebo or control, according to a recent meta-analysis.
