Celecoxib cardiovascular safety similar to nonselective NSAIDs

KEY POINT

In a study involving more than 24,000 patients with osteoarthritis (OA) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA) at increased risk for cardiovascular (CV) disease, use of celecoxib was noninferior to ibuprofen or naproxen concerning CV safety, according to results of the PRECISION trial published online in the New England Journal of Medicine.
