Low-dose growth hormone effective in reducing abdominal fat accumulation

KEY POINT

Daily subcutaneous injections of low-dose growth hormone (GH) in patients with HIV, evidence of lipodystrophy, and GH deficiency significantly reduced visceral fat and truncal obesity, according to a study recently published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
