New data on antidepressants and bone health reassuring

KEY POINT

Use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) was not associated with an increased rate of bone loss at the lumbar spine, total hip, or femoral neck among middle-aged women over a 6-year follow-up period.
