Improving adherence is the key to success with asthma step-up therapy
KEY POINT
In patients with asthma, use of an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) plus a long-acting beta agonist (LABA) was associated with better adherence and improved asthma outcomes as compared to therapy with an ICS plus a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) over a 2-year period.
