Negative affect predicts asthma symptoms in children

KEY POINT

 

Depression and anxiety scores of children and depression scores of parents were correlated with subjective and objective asthma symptom control in children. Medication adherence was not a significant variable in asthma control but did predict supplemental prednisone use.
