Bile acid sequestrant: Useful adjuncts to statins
KEY POINT
A study recently reported in American Journal of Cardiology is the first trial to establish that adding colesevelam (WelChol—Daiichi Sankyo, Inc.) to stable statin therapy further reduces mean LDL cholesterollevels and significantly reduces high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels.
